There is something about these crooked "from the car" photos! LOL!

So here we begin our trip up Mount Versuviu...

This is the beginning of our ascent up Mount Vesuvius. We were planning to drive to the top to check out the crater.

It was raining, but no big deal.

Well...the rain turn to snow flurries and the temperature was dropping quickly.

So the snow started sticking and i believe this was taken just a few minutes before it hit 0 celcius (we were watching the temperature drop on a gauge in the car).

This is just moments before we lost traction and began sliding backwards till we ran up against the embankment. It is also about the time i stopped taking pictures and began fearing for my life. Ron would say it was just a good adventure. Since we all made it off the mountain alive, i guess i will agree. ;)
